This is the first post in my series of Fall-Inspired Posts — they will run throughout the months of October and November.
Pumpkin. I love pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, and pumpkin for my skin.
Did you know that pumpkin is excellent for all skin types? High in Vitamins A & C and Beta Carotene, Pumpkin is delicious inside and out. I am using a most glorious organic pumpkin soap right now and it’s amazing. It really refreshes the skin. It’s made from raw, organic pureed pumpkin (and lots of it) and I felt like I had new skin after using it. Plus, it smells scrumptious, like pumpkin pie. Mmmm.
You can make your own pumpkin face masque at home, by either using fresh pumpkin (buy a mini-pumpkin from the grocery store, organic is best) or you could try organic canned pumpkin.
Here’s a good recipe:
1/4 cup pumpkin, pureed
2 tablespoons raw honey (manuka or buckwheat for the fantastic healing and vitamin/mineral properties)
1-2 tablespoons organic greek yogurt
1-2 tablespoons raw brown sugar (for the glycolic acid, exfoliating)
Mix together well and apply to clean, slightly damp skin. Leave on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse well, and marvel at your luscious skin.
This recipe makes enough for 2 -4 masques. Refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze the rest. Enjoy.

I was so happy to find these at hugely-discounted prices. What fall-inspired, homemade bath and beauty concoctions are you indulging in these days?
